EXPLORATION UPDATE

Annamite Resources Laos, with contract partner Logantek Laos, commenced an induced polarisation (IP) electrical geophysical survey in the northern part of the Vangma property, south of Sokdee tenement. An IP survey can map sulphides by turning on a high-voltage electric generator, transmitting current into the ground and bedrock, and then measuring the degree to which the bedrock stores electric charge for a few milliseconds when the current is turned off, and the locations where this occurred. Typical deliverables from an IP survey are chargeability (millivolts per volt) and resistivity (ohm per metre) pseudo-sections, and two-dimensional inversion models of each survey line. The objective of the northern Vangma IP survey is to map sulphide zones at Boundary, Milky Way, and Flank targets, which have been defined by soil geochemical surveys.

Approximately 12.8 line kilometres of IP survey were originally designed, and an additional 2.2km line was designed during the survey, bringing the total to 14 line kilometres. The Logantek crew mobilized on 5 February, and the survey commenced on 6 February. So far, about 12 line kilometres have been surveyed. Chargeable zones, probably associated with sulphides, have been mapped at Boundary, Milky Way, and Flank targets. When the survey is complete in early March and results are to hand, inclined drill holes can be designed to test the chargeable zones for copper and other sulphides that may exist in economic quantities, and therefore, would add value to the Vangma property, which is important to Annamite’s shareholders.

In parallel, Annamite Resources is actively engaged in negotiations  with landowners to facilitate land access with proper compensation to the 10 targets we have in Sokdee and Vangma. We plan to start drilling operations in March.
