Summary & Objective

The Sokdee-Vangma Community Relation Officer (CRO) manages the relation between the company, district and village administration, local organizations and community members, to ensure proper stakeholder engagement, while maintaining the social license to operate and progressing in parallel community and land activities work for the Project.

The CRO needs additional support given the increasing workload and well as an assistant to act when on break.

Personal Responsibilities:

• Support the CRO as another point of contact for all villages impacted by exploration activities, managing daily interactions with village and district authorities and addressing community issues related to exploration activities.
• Support the CRO work on land access and compensation process, ensuring fairness and transparency.
• Assist in stakeholder mapping initiatives, implement stakeholder engagement plans and community development initiatives.
• Document all stakeholder engagement activities, land access and compensation efforts, and related supporting documents.
• Monitor and report on the fulfillment of public commitments and engagement progress to Annamite management and key stakeholders in province, district and village.
• Collaborate with local authorities to ensure compliance with company’s policies/procedures and alignment with community interests.

Internal Reporting:

• Provide regular updates and reports to the CRO with copy to Senior Manager and Office Manager based in Vientiane office, summarizing community relations activities, stakeholder feedback, and engagement outcomes.

Required Education and Experience:

• Ability to work with different departments.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English & Lao).
• Attention to detail.
• Proactive response to changes.
• Independence in work.
• Fast learner and worker.
• Quick adaptability to a new environment.
• Driving license is a must (B type)
